[asiacouncil] Semester Greetings & Next Asia Council Meeting

Dear Colleagues,

I hope each one of you is healthy and well.  We've just begun what is
perhaps the most anxious and uncertain academic year of our careers.   I
hope that you have been able to find routine in your teaching and service,
whether you are face-to-face, hybrid, or online.  Personally, I have found
comfort in getting back into a routine for the semester.

We will have our next meeting on Friday, 25th September.  The meeting will
follow the SCIE (System Council for International Education) sessions.
Both SCIE and Asia Council meetings will be virtual.   I think our meeting
time will be at 2:00 p.m. but I will confirm with others in SCIE
leadership.  I will send you details of the meeting and its link after
Labor Day.

Given that no travel is required on your part, please encourage your
faculty colleagues to join this meeting.  While the pandemic has dampened
much of our efforts with international education, virtual meetings have
opened the possibility for people to join conversations without travel or
need of using department monies.

Please take care of yourselves.  I am grateful to work with all of you.
You always demonstrate care for your students.  I can only imagine you are
going the extra mile to give them the support they need during these
uncertain times.
