Journal of Asian Humanities at Kyushu University (JAH-Q), call for submissions for publication in March 2019 (volume 4)<https://networks.h-net.org/user/login?destination=node/230591>

Dear Members,

On behalf of the editorial board of the Journal of Asian Humanities at Kyushu University (JAH-Q), I am pleased to direct your attention to the free 2017 issue (volume 2).
There you will find articles on contemporary art history, Buddhism, Buddhist visual culture, a review of Heather Blair’s recent book, Real and Imagined: The Peak of Gold in Heian Japan, and other Asian studies topics.

JAH-Q is a non-subscription publication available online and in print: as PDFs indexed by article on the Kyushu University Library website at
https://www.lib.kyushu-u.ac.jp/publications_kyushu/jahq
and as a single volume PDF at
https://kyushu-u.academia.edu/CyntheaBogel/Books
We will have more open access points in the future.

JAH-Q is an annual double-blind, peer-reviewed publication in English. We consider research articles, state-of-the-field essays, and short reports (conferences and other events) on Asian humanities subjects (broadly defined) for publication. We also seek articles or reports for the themed section, Kyushu and Asia, and reviews (book, exhibition, film) for the Reviews section.

We have closed the window for submissions of articles for volume 3 (March 2018) except for the themed section, Kyushu and Asia, and exhibition or film reviews for the Reviews section. Please see the Submissions Guidelines for further details.

I cannot attach our Submission Guidelines for volume 4 (submissions due August 15, 2018 for publication in March, 2019) but in the future it will be available here http://www2.lit.kyushu-u.ac.jp/en/impjh/ I have temporarily placed it on my academia.edu page, noted above.

I would be especially grateful if you would forward this message to colleagues outside Japanese humanities fields; most of our submissions have been from Japan specialists.

Thank you, and best wishes,

Cynthea J. Bogel
