<div>On behalf of the editorial board of the <em>Journal of Asian Humanities at Kyushu University</em> (<em>JAH-Q</em>), I am pleased to direct your attention to the free 2017 issue (volume 2).</div>
<div>There you will find articles on contemporary art history, Buddhism, Buddhist visual culture, a review of Heather Blair’s recent book, <em>Real and Imagined: The Peak </em><em>of Gold in Heian Japan, </em>and other Asian studies topics.</div>

<div><em>JAH-Q</em> is a non-subscription publication available online and in print: as PDFs indexed by article on the Kyushu University Library website at </div>

<div><em>JAH-Q</em> is an annual double-blind, peer-reviewed publication in English. We consider research articles, state-of-the-field essays, and short reports (conferences and other events) on Asian humanities subjects (broadly defined) for publication. We
also seek articles or reports for the themed section, <em>Kyushu and Asia</em>, and reviews (book, exhibition, film) for the <em>Reviews</em> section. </div>

<div>We have closed the window for submissions of articles for volume 3 (March 2018) <strong>except</strong> for the themed section, <em>Kyushu and Asia</em>, and exhibition or film reviews for the <em>Reviews</em> section. Please see the <em>Submissions Guidelines</em> for
further details.</div>
