Greetings from The Carter Center China Program!



The Carter Center and the Global Times Foundation cordially  invite you and your organization to attend our 2015 U.S.-China Young Scholars Forum on October 16. This *free* event convenes in the Emory University Center for Ethics Commons (room 102) in Atlanta, Georgia.



The annual forum seeks to promote vital Sino-American engagement on opportunities and challenges that call for sustained U.S.-China consultation and cooperation. This year's conference theme is "Voice of the Young Generation: How U.S.-China Relations Will Shape the International Order of the Future." We have invited 16 scholars who will present their research on strategic, political, economic, and business relations between the U.S. and China in the following 4 panels, which begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 5:00 pm:

  *   Panel I: Building a New Framework for U.S.-China Relations
  *   Panel II: U.S.-China Regional and Global Collaboration
  *   Panel III: Cyber Security and Mil-to-mil Exchange
  *   Panel IV: Soft Power Competition and Cultural Friction

Additionally, we will host a roundtable discussion in the evening on Dr. Lyle Goldstein's new book "Meeting China Halfway: How to Defuse the Emerging US-China Rivalry." The discussion also takes place in the Center for Ethics and lasts from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
