We decided to get permission from professors to put a box in each office. -Children's Healthcare of Atlanta -Scottish Wright center -Maybe have a few representatives from LASA go up and hand deliver toys personally instead of shipping them and meet with some of the children. New Business * Unanimous YAY for Great Strides Walk * Unanimous YAY in the amount of $300 to reimburse the guitarist for the Hispanic Heritage Month event * Movie night will no longer be held Sept 25 - Think about getting a sponsor for Movie nights -A theme: Foreign Film appreciation, International Film appreciation -Decided date for next movie night attempt will be October 10th, October 15th, October 17th * Voted YAY for the allocation of the Toy during the Toy Drive. Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta and South Georgia Medical Center * Voted YAY for the Teacher raffle * Voted YAY on sponsoring the Latin Dancing and bringing food and provided music. Can take donations and set up an information table for those interested. * Suggestion to meet at the Cuban Restaurant at 6pm for First Friday October 3. Decide who will provide the movie, and the location of the event. Assign a member to make flyers for the event to inform the public since it is an open event. * Update on the Toy drive from member, Amber Lovelace * Discuss possible teachers to ask to join the raffle. Come up with a direction and rules list for the fundraiser. Determine pricing of tickets. This is our first off campus meeting, and will not have an agenda. However, if dues have not yet been paid, please bring them to the meeting.
