Subject: [LASA] Reminder for This Week's Meeting, Great Strides Walk

Hello everyone!

 

I just wanted to remind everyone that this Friday, the 7th of November,
we'll be having our meeting at El Potro Restaurant on St. Augustine at 6:30.
There will be an agenda, which will be discussed before we leave the
restaurant.

 

Also, please remember that this Saturday, the 8th, we will be participating
in the Great Strides Walk at Wild Adventures. If you need a ride, Dr Gladwin
will be providing transportation. We'll let everyone know where to meet
tomorrow via e-mail. Please check your mail and, if possible, let Patricia
or Amanda know if you will be needing transportation. If you have not
already signed up for the walk, please do so as soon as possible.

Tonight and tomorrow night are movie nights in celebration of French week.

 

Tonight November 13, there will be French film at 7 P.M. at the University
Center Dogwood room. The movie will be hosted by Dr. Ofelia Nikolova,
Director of the Honors Program. There will be a discussion panel after the
film.

 

LASA will host a French movie night on Friday November 14th at 4 PM in West
Hall 138.  Join LASA for a few hours of entertainment and light refreshment.

Hello everyone!

I want to let everyone know that the boxes are in! They are in Dr 
Parra's office. If you'd like to grab one to decorate over the break, 
feel free to! Just ask Patricia in MCL for a box, and she'll let you 
grab one.

I'm sure you all noticed that we didn't have a meeting last week; there 
will also not be one this week, as I doubt anyone will be on campus for 
the break. We have two weeks to collect toys for the toy drive - if you 
want to donate a few, feel free to! I will be!

Please remember that they must be new toys only, still in original 
packaging.

If you know an office that would be willing to hold a box, please ask 
them. I have already contacted the English department. Also, feel free 
to make announcements in your classes on Monday and Tuesday - the 
Thanksgiving break could be a good time for people to get in the 
donating spirit!

If you have anything to add, please e-mail me at amastone at valdosta.edu, 
and if it's information other members will find useful, I'll send it 
out on the mailing list!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend, and if we don't see you on 
Monday and Tuesday I hope everyone has a wonderful break!
