Dear Program Chair,

The 31st Annual SIOP Conference is next week!  I hope you and your students
will be able to attend this year.  In preparation, I’d like to share with
you a new service we are offering to students and to remind you of the
continuing services and benefits of the SIOP Job Placement Center.

This year we are hosting a new Internship Open House that will be expose
students to the ins and outs of securing internship positions. During the
event, professionals will share their experiences and provide guidance on
the internship and job market. This will be followed by a guided networking
event. Following is the time/date and location of the event. I hope you
encourage your students to attend.

Event: Internship Open House

Date/Time: *Thursday, April 14 from 11am-12:30pm*

*Location: Hilton Anaheim - Laguna conference room*

This is in addition to our continuing Placement Center services, which
include:

·         A virtual job board where job seekers can upload their resume,
organizations can post job openings, and both groups can search the
database for individuals/organizations that match their desired search
criteria.

·         A designated location (Palos Verde, 4th Floor - Hilton Anaheim)
at the SIOP Annual Conference where employers can connect with job seekers
and conduct in-person interviews.

·         The Mock Interview Program where candidates can receive valuable
feedback regarding interview performance from seasoned professionals.

·         *Placement Center Open House on Thursday, April 14th, from
10:00am-11:00am in the Huntington Room (on the 4th floor, next door to the
Placement Center)* at the Hilton Anaheim. This Open House is an opportunity
to network with the employers registered for the Placement Center. This is
an excellent opportunity to connect with companies who are hiring I-O
talent.
