<div>It is with a heavy heart that we report that one of our colleagues, Dr. Tom Dolan, recently passed away.

<span style="font-family:Arial; color:rgb(0,0,0); background-color:transparent; font-variant-numeric:normal; font-variant-east-asian:normal; vertical-align:baseline; white-space:pre-wrap">Dolan joined the faculty of CSU in August 2000 after twenty years as
a Naval officer. He chaired the Political Science Department from 2003 to 2008 and again from 2010 to 2014, retired as a Full Professor in 2018, was named Professor Emeritus that same year, and taught courses in Political Science as recently as last semester.</span></p>

<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38; margin-top:0pt; margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-family:Arial; color:rgb(0,0,0); background-color:transparent; font-variant-numeric:normal; font-variant-east-asian:normal; vertical-align:baseline; white-space:pre-wrap">He
served as the Director of the Richard R. Hallock Lecture Series from 2007 to 2016. Under Dr. Dolan’s leadership, CSU hosted a series of internationally recognized speakers in the area of national security, including Ambassador Thomas Pickering and Major General
Patricia Frost. Dr. Dolan was himself a recognized expert on North Korea who had traveled there in recent years. He published numerous articles on Asian international issues, particularly related to Korea.</span></p>
