On behalf of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta, I wanted to invite you to an important program: Korea-US: Presidents Moon and Biden Strengthen Ties, to be held virtually over zoom on Wednesday, June 23 from 12-1:00PM ET.

On May 21, President Biden hosted South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the White House. The following day President Moon visited the new SK Battery America factory in Commerce, GA. Cooperation and collaboration on a wide range of political, trade, and security issues is strategically important for both nations as we work to defuse the nuclear threat from North Korea and face heightened geopolitical competition with China. Join Amb. Kathleen Stephens and Amb. Mark Lippert, both former U.S. Ambassadors to South Korea, to discuss the US-Korea alliance under Presidents Moon and Biden. And help us welcome Yoonjoo Park to Atlanta. Mr. Park will make his first public remarks as Consul General of the Republic of Korea to the Southeastern U.S.
