Colleagues, the Asia Council met last Friday and had one nomination for the  
new chair, Dr. Erick Kendrick (Georgia State University, Perimeter  
Campus).  Please confirm your vote for the new chair by the end of Friday,  
5th February.

I will continue to serve as the council chair through 30th June.  It has  
been a pleasure to serve the Asia Coucil over these past two years!
