BTS, Squid Games, and Korean cuisine have made waves across the world. Korean President Moon praised BTS after winning the 2021 “Artist of the Year” at the American Music Awards — the first Asian artists to do so. Korean culture is conquering the world. CSIS’s Joseph Nye says Korea’s soft power gains are “boosting the country’s national status and diplomacy.”

Join the World Affairs Council and the Korean Consulate General in Atlanta via zoom on Wednesday, December 8 from 12-1PM ET as we explore Korea’s culture with Dafna Zur, Associate Professor of East Asian Languages & Cultures at Stanford University, Crystal Anderson, Assistant Director of Korean Studies at George Mason University and Director of the Kpop Kollective, and Frank Aum, Senior Expert on Northeast Asia at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
