Georgia is home to a young, growing population of over 10 million people entering an increasingly technologically advanced twenty-first century workplace. With over 432 facilities in Georgia, Japan is a leading international investor employing over 26,000 workers.



On September 6, Sasakawa USA, the U.S. Department of State, the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta, and the Georgia Institute of Technology will co-host a luncheon panel discussion to explore how Japanese and U.S. firms, state and local authorities, and educational institutions can work together to train and develop Georgia's workforce. Panelists will address Georgia's future workforce needs, approaches to workforce development, and opportunities for stakeholder collaboration.



Local supporting organizations include the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Japan-America Society of Georgia, and the Technical College System of Georgia.
