Greetings from the Institute of International Education (IIE).

We are happy to announce the opening of the fall/academic year application round for Freeman-ASIA Awards for Undergraduate Study in East and Southeast Asia. The deadlines are as follows:

Student Application: April 4 by 5:00pm Eastern time
Adviser Certification: April 11 by 5:00pm Eastern time

To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a U.S. citizens or permanent resident at the time of application, currently enrolled as an undergraduate, accepted to or applying to a credit-bearing study abroad program in East or Southeast Asia, have at least one term (other than a summer term) ahead of them at their home institution upon their returned, a minimum GPA of 2.8, and have a FAFSA on file.

The summer application remains open. The summer deadline is March 1st (by 5:00pm Eastern) for students, and March 7th (by 5:00pm Eastern) for adviser certification.
